Jun 24th, 2016 | By

Poort Technologies Inc. has announced its next home automation device, based on the iPad. This high-design, plastic injection version adds a novel form factor and web portal option for the hundreds of millions of iPad and Samsung S2 tablets now in circulation.

Poort controllers are expected to find their highest usage over kitchen and work counters, where they exploit WiFi and the emerging AI architectures to re-purpose tablets inexpensively, as fixed automation and entertainment appliances.

The company invites OEM and partnering inquiries during its introduction to industry and consumers, with production in 3Q/2016.
